How to Know if Your Plumbing Fixtures Need to be Replaced
Like all things in the home, your plumbing fixtures will eventually need partial or complete replacement. Since things like the knobs in the shower or on the sink are used multiple times a day, they quickly experience wear and tear than other components of a plumbing system. For this reason, you may need to replace them sooner than the rest of the unit they are attached to.
Some clear signs your fixtures need a replacement are:
- Rust or cracks on the fixture handles: If the handles or faucets of your fixtures have rust collecting all over the material or they are starting to crack, you’ll need to replace these before they deteriorate and stop working.
- The fixtures are leaking: Small leaks, such as water pooling around the base of fixtures, can quickly be resolved by replacing these components. If you notice tiny or large pools of water collecting under sinks or the base of fixtures, contact our Virginia Beach team.
- Decreased water pressure: Minerals can collect inside faucets. When this occurs, it is harder for the water to push out into the sink, shower, or bathtub basin. If you notice water coming out of your faucets slower than normal, you might need a replacement.

- Water pressure is low: Low water pressure could mean a buildup of sediment inside your faucet or an internal component has corroded to the point where it isn’t working as efficiently as it should.

I was having significant draining issues with my kitchen sink and dishwasher. Wanted to find a reputable local plumber (not a big company) and found Dynamic on Google with many great reviews and family owned. Thya came out the day after I called and got my kitchen sink to drain so I could do Thanksgiving dishes but did find other signifiant pie issues. They quoted me a very fair price and would schedule me to do the work needed. Two days later my washer flooded my utility room. They were at my home in about an hour and worked tirelessly fixing the problems and letting me know what was happening and showing me pictures. Benjamin and Shaun were wonderful and kept assuring me they would get me straight. The owner also came out to assess the original problem and to work on the second dya. I called these guys stressed & overwhelmed. I had a pipe burst and had been grossly misguided by a previous contractor. The head of the company himself took over the call and reassured me that they would take care of me. He took it upon himself to come out with Corey the same day to do my initial assessment which really meant a lot.Cory showed up the next morning on time with his helper and they quickly and professionally knocked the job out. Today I have a smile but yesterday and the past no smile. I truly wanted to take this opportunity to say Am grateful for the 2 men. As a home owner no one wants to deal with disasters. I ran into not only 1 leak but 2 leaks and can truly say it’s been a nightmare for me. It was a Sunday, Labor Day weekend and I had another leak. I was crying and upset this had happened to me I could not get anyone out until Friday. After calling back my warranty company and pleading with them about my situation they went the extra mile and found this company called DYNAMIC HOME SERVICES w/ two awesome technicians ( Benjamin and Dave) I don’t think I could of ask for a better company. I emphasize not only were they pleasant, knowledgeable ( Dave the thinker) , kind and answered all my questions when asked. I can truly say that these 2 men ( Benjamin and Dave are top shelf plumbers. I was lucky to get a selfie and felt very honored to get a photo with these two men. I know they hear it often times from customers , where a customer says THANK YOU , but I want you to know that you are truly making a difference in people lives. The world is a tough and grimy place but you two brought smiles to a little lady like myself. Now we move on get my flooring fix and you guys can come remove all these pipes and put brand new ones in as soon as I get the thumbs 👍 up. I recently had to find a plumber for a simple job ... replacing faucets on 30 year old jetted tub. I contacted 3 different companies who failed to return my calls before I contacted Dynamic Home Services. What a difference 1 call makes! Dynamic answered my call, scheduled to come by to provide an estimate and in less than 48 hours after answering my call they had not only replaced the faucets but also added quick disconnects to the jetted tub and shower. We needed preventative maintenance performed on our home’s sewer system and a clean out installed because we could not locate one. From the initial phone call to the completion of the work, the DYNAMIC Home Services team was responsive and thorough. These are the guys you want to call first! We had a water leak in a pipe under the driveway. Joseph and Corey arrived just a couple hours after being dispatched. They cut out a section of the concrete, dug down to the pipe, found then fixed the leak, patched the concrete, and were done in just a few hours. This was nothing short of awesome! I highly recommend these guys and would give them 10 stars if i could.
